Responsibilities

• Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs.
• Create new and original recipes reflecting the restaurant's style.
• Prepare and cook high quality food according to recipes and presentation.
• Monitor and cook a variety of dishes using different methods.
• Examine food to ensure quality and presentation.
• Daily preparation of all ingredients, quality control and rotation.
• Ensuring stock is rotated, checked and stored correctly.
• Discussing food preparation issues with management and staff.
• Training kitchen staff including apprentices and trainees.
