Job summary

The Sporting Globe is seeking a Head Chef to lead a large, high-volume kitchen at Surfers Paradise. You will drive day-to-day operations, inspire a team, and partner with the venue manager to deliver top-quality food on busy game days.

Ideal candidates will have proven leadership, strong cost and people-management skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards in a fast-paced sports bar environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading high-volume kitchen operations.
• Ability to manage food costs, labour, and stock.
• Strong focus on food safety and kitchen standards.
• Lead and develop kitchen team under pressure.
• Lead from the front and drive performance on event days.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a large, high volume kitchen operation
• Deliver consistent, quality food when the venue is absolutely pumping
• Manage food costs, labour, stock, ordering and kitchen performance
• Keep food safety, compliance and kitchen standards sharp
• Work closely with the Venue Manager and leadership team
• Build a kitchen culture people want to be part of
