Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a hands-on Head Chef to lead the café and village catering at Warriewood Brook Seniors Living. You will drive menus, food quality, and service standards while mentoring a small kitchen team.

This on-site role offers a Tue-Sat schedule with one Thursday night shift, a strong focus on resident wellbeing, cost control, HACCP compliance, and a welcoming environment that connects residents and guests through great food.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership role.
• Strong skills in stock control, ordering, and cost management.
• Experience planning menus and delivering consistent food offerings.
• Confidence leading and developing small teams.
• Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations across café and village catering services.
• Manage ordering, stock control and supplier relationships.
• Plan menus and develop weekly specials aligned to resident preferences.
• Supervise and support one casual chef.
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Monitor costs, minimise waste and manage kitchen budgets.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance (HACCP & WHS).
• Contribute to a positive, team‑focused hospitality culture.
