Job summary

Merkanooka Haulage in Western Australia seeks experienced FIFO HD Mechanics for our Goldfields mine site operations. The role focuses on maintenance of Kenworth Prime Movers, Trailers and Earthmoving Equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and team collaboration.

Permanent full-time on a 4/2 roster. Earn $75 per hour plus superannuation on all hours worked, with flights to major Australian cities and returns to Bali, Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila, Auckland or Christchurch. Weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years maintaining Kenworth Prime Movers & Trailers in mining/civil environment.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Komatsu earthmoving equipment, particularly loaders and graders.
• Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification (Australian recognised).
• Australian working rights and ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
• National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Kenworth fleet and trailers and service earthmoving equipment (Komatsu).
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with schedules and paperwork.
• Communicate respectfully with Leading Hands and teammates.

To support additional project growth on 2 mine sites , we are seeking experiencedFIFOHD Mechanics (Prime Movers, Trailers & Earthmoving Equipment)to join the teamon our Goldfields mine site operations.

You will join existing crews of Leading Hands, Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Boilermakers, Apprentice Fitters and a team of Service Personnel & Trades Assistants.

Permanent full-time opportunity on a long-term project

We offer $75 per hour plus superannuation on all hours worked (12)

On a 4/2 roster, we pay both flights to any major Capital City in Australia, as well as Cairns, Newcastle, Townsville, Launceston & Burnie. We also offer return flights to Bali, Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila as well as Auckland or Christchurch.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Focus on maintaining our Kenworth Fleet and Trailers whilst working on fitting duties on our Earthmoving Equipment (Komatsu), Service Trucks, LV's and other equipment as required
• Actively participate in promoting and upholding our positive approach to safety
• Respectful & honest communication with Leading Hands and your fellow team members
• Maintain compliance to service schedule and ensure compliance with all necessary paperwork

You will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of:

• Kenworth C509, C510 and T909
• Komatsu WA500/600 Wheel Loaders
• Service Trucks
• Toyota Light Vehicles

To be considered for this role, successful applicants will possess or able to obtain the following:

• Prior experience in maintaining and servicing Kenworth Prime Movers & Trailers with Earthmoving Equipment in a Mining/Civil environment, especially with Loaders & Graders
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience maintaining Kenworth Prime Movers & Trailers in mining/civil environment is essential
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Komatsu earthmoving equipment, particularly loaders and graders
• Heavy Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification (Australian recognised)
• Air Conditioning qualification (if applicable)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
• Must hold Australian full working rights
