Job summary

Aston Advantage is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic for field service work on heavy plant and compaction equipment. The role covers scheduled servicing, breakdowns and fault-finding across diesel, electrical and hydraulic systems at customer sites in the Gold Coast/QLD region.

The ideal candidate holds a Heavy Diesel trade qualification and strong diagnostic skills, with experience on rollers, asphalt or civil earthmoving equipment preferred.

Qualifications

• Heavy diesel trade qualification required.
• Strong diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Experience with rollers, asphalt, civil, earthmoving or compaction equipment desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, breakdowns and fault-finding.
• Work on heavy plant and compaction equipment at customer sites.
• Travel to various sites as required.

Heavy Diesel Mechanic | Molendinar, Gold Coast QLD | $51.35 per hour + Pens | Permanent Full-time

Opportunity: Take your mechanical skills into the field, working on heavy plant and compaction equipment. A mix of scheduled servicing, breakdowns and fault-finding across diesel, electrical and hydraulic systems at customer sites.

Experience: Heavy Diesel trade qualification essential. Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics are important. Experience with rollers, asphalt, civil, earthmoving or compaction equipment highly regarded.

Benefits: $51.35/hr + pens | $25.85 weekly tool allowance | $66.20 daily on-call allowance when applicable | $19.86 lunch allowance | $39.72 overnight meal allowance | Overtime available.

Extras: Permanent full-time position | Field service work | 12–13 hour days | Travel to various customer sites | On-call requirements where applicable.
