Job summary

MACA is seeking skilled and safety-focused HD Fitters for the Karlawinda Gold Project Maintenance Team, located near Newman, WA. The position offers both full-time and casual rates with a $3,000 sign-on bonus and a suite of employee benefits.

Ideal candidates will have an Australian Recognised Trade Certificate, open pit mining experience, and a proactive, safety-conscious approach. A HR Driver's Licence is preferred. Opportunities for growth and long-term roles are highlighted by MACA.

Job description

MACA is seeking skilled and safety-focused HD Fitters to join our Karlawinda Gold Project Maintenance Team on a 2:1 roster.

Located near Newman in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, The Karlawinda Gold Project is a high-quality, long-life open-pit gold mine owned by Capricorn Metals. It’s one of the newest and most productive gold operations in the state, with a projected mine life of over a decade and ongoing production that exceeds 100,000 ounces of gold per year.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate.
• HR Drivers Licence is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving ability including diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across various fleets and machinery.
• Experience in an open pit mining environment.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Must present with a “Can Do” attitude to work and safety.
