Job summary

MACA are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team at the Dingo Range Gold Project, working a 2/1 or 2/2 FIFO roster from Perth. The role focuses on heavy mining equipment electrically/mechanically, with duties including diagnostics, repairs and planned maintenance.

Successful candidates will hold an Australian Recognised Certificate III in Automative Electrical Technology, with experience on heavy mining equipment and a valid HR licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Auto Electrician with a recognized certificate and trade qualification.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Proven experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance on mining gear.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Diagnose, test and repair electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect, repair and replace wiring looms, electrical connectors, switches, sensors and components.
• Perform electrical component replacements and repairs per OEM/site requirements.
• Complete planned maintenance, inspections and scheduled component replacements.
• Respond to breakdowns in the field to minimise equipment downtime.

The Dingo Range Gold Project developed by Emerald Resources is a 1.41-million-ounce greenfield gold asset located in Western Australia’s North Laverton region, representing one of the state’s emerging gold developments.

Equipment we have on site: Trucks Komatsu 785-7 & HD1500, Diggers Komatsu PC1250 – Liebherr 9200 & 9300, CAT equipment D9 & D10 , Dozer 16m, Grader 777 watercarts, Epiroc T45 Drills.

Key result areas include:

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Diagnose, test and repair electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect, repair and replace wiring looms, electrical connectors, switches, sensors and electrical components.
• Perform electrical component replacements and repairs in accordance with OEM and site requirements.
• Complete planned maintenance, inspections and scheduled component replacements.
• Respond to breakdowns and electrical faults in the field to minimise equipment downtime.
• Complete accurate maintenance records, job cards and inspection documentation.
• Maintain electrical tools, test equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Australian Recognised Certificate III in Automative Electrical Technology.
• Air Con Ticket and experience preferable.
• Experience working on Heavy Mobile Mining Equipment - CAT.
• HR drivers’ licence preferable.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
• Good knowledge and ability to follow Work health and safety procedures and policies
