Price & Speed Containers is seeking two experienced HC truck drivers to join our transport team in Banksmeadow. You will drive, load and unload shipping containers, coordinate with depot staff, and ensure safe transport of containers and general freight across wharf terminals and client sites.

The role requires an HC licence, 10 years driving experience, and a strong focus on safety, with overtime opportunities and a Monday–Friday schedule. Weekend work is optional when available.

Formación

• Current HC truck driving licence required.
• Proven load–securing using straps, dogs and chains.
• Minimum 10 years’ truck driving experience.
• Strong commitment to safe driving and vehicle/cargo care.

Responsabilidades

• Collecting and delivering full and empty shipping containers.
• Transporting loose and palletised cargo with appropriate loads.
• Operate flat-top, drop-deck, tautliner and skeletal trailers.
• Secure loads, check weights, and tarp where required.
• Complete vehicle pre-start checks and report faults or maintenance needs.
• Complete transport paperwork and communicate with customers and depot teams.
• Follow safe loading, load restraint and fatigue management procedures.

HC Truck Drivers - Containers & General Freight

Banksmeadow, Sydney | 2 full-time positions

$38-40 per hour + super + applicable overtime

Price & Speed Containers is seeking two experienced HC truck drivers to join our transport team, with an immediate start available.

We are an established Australian, family-owned business based in Banksmeadow, close to Port Botany. Our transport work offers variety, moving shipping containers and loose cargo between wharf terminals, depots and customer sites.

What we offer

• Full-time positions with consistent hours, generally Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm.
• $38-40 per hour plus super, with overtime paid at applicable rates.
• One truck, one driver - your own allocated truck.
• Overtime opportunities, with optional weekend work when available.
• Varied container and general freight work.
• Some flexibility with weekday hours is required to meet transport schedules. Weekend work is voluntary.

About the role

Working with our Transport Manager and depot teams, your duties will include:

• Collecting and delivering full and empty shipping containers.
• Transporting loose and palletised cargo, with larger and oversize loads allocated according to experience.
• Operating trucks with flat-top, drop-deck, tautliner and skeletal trailers.
• Securing and checking loads using straps, dogs and chains, and tarping loads as required.
• Completing vehicle pre-start checks and reporting faults or maintenance requirements.
• Completing transport paperwork and communicating with customers, depot staff and the transport team.
• Following safe loading, load restraint, fatigue management and site procedures.
• A current HC licence or higher.
• A minimum of 10 years' truck driving experience.
• Proven, practical experience securing loads using straps, dogs and chains.
• A strong commitment to safe driving and looking after vehicles, equipment and cargo.
• Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach with customers and colleagues.

Desirable, but not essential

• A current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC). Applicants who do not already hold an MSIC must be willing to obtain one.
• Experience transporting oversize or out-of-gauge loads.
• Previous container transport and wharf experience.
• A current forklift licence and forklift operating experience.
