Job summary

Action Workforce is seeking an experienced HC Driver to operate on our Mackay customer site, delivering General Freight across Mackay and surrounding regions with some regional runs. You will work Monday to Friday with an AM shift, earning $44.25 per hour plus overtime.

• Deliver General Freight within Mackay and surrounding areas.
• Load and unload vehicle as required.
• Complete run-sheets and pre-start checks.
• Maintain local knowledge of Mackay routes.

Job description

Currently seeking an experienced HC Driver to work on our customer site in Mackay. You will be responsible for delivering General Freight throughout the Mackay areas and surroundings with some regional areas. This role is suited for drivers who are seeking a potential for ongoing work Monday to Friday and available to work AM Shifts.

AM Shift: $44.25 per hour + overtime

Key Responsibilities

• Extensive local knowledge of the Mackay area
• Load dimensions as you will need to load & unload your vehicle
• Completion of all run-sheets accordingly
• Ability to complete all pre-start checks at the beginning of each shift

Skills & Experience

• Current HC driver license with 2yrs exp
• Experience doing multi- s
• Must be physically fit & reliable
• Extensive experience in commercial truck driving
• Knowledge of Load Restraints
• Co-operate with your employer to ensure all safe work procedures are adhered to
• Immediately report any unhealthy and/or unsafe working conditions, hazards, equipment, or practices to your manager/supervisor and make suggestions on improvements
• Immediately report to your manager/supervisor all injuries, illnesses, incidents and near misses - no matter how minor
