Multimach Industries is a family owned and operated business based near Rockhampton that specialises in the transport of General Freight.

We currently have an opportunity for a Long Distance HC or MC Truck Driver - General Freight to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who holds a current HC/MC licence and is looking for a great business to grow with. The position would suit those experienced or new to industry as training will be provided. We are looking for the right person and would be willing to develop someone into the role. We are looking for licensed MC and HC Truck Drivers who will be responsible for the safe and timely loading & delivery of General Freight. You will be tasked with driving a heavy vehicle and adhering to safe driving behaviours, safely loading goods and undertaking sufficient load restraint in accordance with the Load Restraint Guidelines, complying with all aspects of Heavy Vehicle National Law as well as working closely with others in a fast-paced operational team environment.

Job Description

• Transport general freight across all states and territories
• Tasks will include demonstrating pride & care in the cleanliness of the heavy vehicle and equipment you will operate, conducting pre-start checks and reporting all faults, conducting changeovers with other operators, inspecting load restraints and safety equipment to ensure safe operation, loading and unloading activities, strapping and tarping of loads where required and other transport duties as directed
• Managing driving hours and a logbook
• Complete all transport & compliance documents
• Keep all equipment clean and tidy
• Communicate with team members effectively
• Comply with all Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Comply with all company procedures
• Hold a high regard for Health & Safety of yourself and others

About You

To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Keen to learn and develop your skills in the transport logistics industry
• Current HC/MC driver's licence
• Safety focused attitude
• Able to work as part of a team
• Provide a good traffic history for the past 5 years minimum
• Have undertaken or consent to undertake a Commercial Drivers Medical Assessment
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol check and consent to working in an impairment free working environment
• Be willing to consent to a criminal history check
