Job summary

Linfox Intermodal in Townsville, QLD is hiring an experienced HC Driver for a local/regional role with a 6am–2pm schedule and overtime. You will transport palletised freight across local and regional routes, operate modern equipment, and uphold safety and service standards across North Queensland.

Key duties include safe vehicle operation, load restraint, accurate delivery documentation, CoR compliance, and delivering excellent customer service while representing Linfox.

Qualifications

• Current HC Licence with experience operating Heavy Combination vehicles.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable work ethic with a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Drive HC vehicles to complete local and regional pickup and delivery tasks.
• Safely load, restrain and transport freight per compliance rules.
• Provide professional customer service while representing Linfox.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and CoR compliance.
• Assist with loading and unloading as required.
• Adhere to Linfox Safety Standards and Vision Zero goals.

What does the job look like?

At Linfox Intermodal, we keep Australia moving. We have a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced HC Driver to join our team based in Townsville, QLD. You'll be responsible for transporting palletised freight across local and regional locations, operating modern equipment and delivering exceptional service to ensure freight is moved safely and efficiently across North Queensland.

This is a casual position with a schedule of Monday - Friday from 6am - 2pm + reasonable overtime.Key areas:

• Driving the commitment to Linfox Safety Standards at all times and ensuring Vision Zero remains a daily focus
• Safely operating HC vehicles to complete local and regional pickup and delivery activities
• Ensuring freight is loaded, restrained and transported safely in line with compliance requirements
• Providing professional and reliable customer service while representing both Linfox and our customers
• Maintaining accurate delivery documentation and adhering to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
• Assisting with loading and unloading activities as required
