Job summary

Ellerslie Farms Group in Millmerran, Queensland, is seeking a practical, hands-on machinery operator to join our rural team. You will operate loading, lifting and handling equipment, adhere to strict bio-security rules, and contribute to daily farm tasks in a collaborative, small-team setting.

Ideal candidates hold current tickets for loader, forklift, telehandler and bobcat, a valid driver’s license, reliable transport and a proactive, can-do attitude.

About The Role

Applicants should have experience working in a physical, hands-on role, with a demonstrated knowledge and skill required for an agricultural working environment, proactive fault-finding ethic, with a solution finding focus. An excellent work ethic and be committed to their trade. Must be honest and reliable, as well as have the capacity for accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable: Previous machine operating experience, particularly within agricultural, construction, or industrial environments. Relevant tickets, licences, or demonstrated experience operating machinery and equipment will be highly regarded.

• Drivers Licence
• Construction Card (Blue or White)

You Will Need To Have

• Current machinery tickets for loader, forklift, telehandler and bobcat;
• Have a "can do" attitude by working cooperatively and efficiently to meet daily requirements;
• Be accountable for the work completed;
• A demonstrated understanding of the importance of teamwork;
• Good attention to detail;
• Self-motivated and driven attitude;
• Ideally, you will have some basic mechanically knowledge and the ability to adequately inspect and troubleshoot any vehicle or equipment provided for your use;
• Reliable transport.

• Excellent communication skills along with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships;
• A passion for Agriculture and a genuine interest in working in a rural area;
• Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills;
• A valid driver’s license and your own transport;
• Sound physical fitness, with the ability to work in dirty or dusty environments, work at heights, work in confined spaces, or work outside in all types of weather.
