Job summary

Riviera Farms Pty Ltd in Bundaberg, Queensland, seeks a team leader to manage harvest and processing crews of up to seven workers. This is a full-time, permanent position capped at 38 hours per week, with wages aligned to the Horticultural Award Level 3.

We aim to recruit four team leaders starting January 2027 for a four-year term to support field operations, crop planting, packing, transport logistics between sites, and ensuring safety and quality standards across the farm.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Driver's License.
• Be willing to obtain a High Risk Fork Lift License.
• Ability to manage staff in a team environment with diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrate good communication skills and complete time sheet calculation.
• Strong work ethic and punctuality.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and stand for long periods.
• Manual Handling will be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews in the field.
• Drive workers between locations.
• Liaise with managers and welfare coordinators.
• Pick various horticulture products.
• Crop planting and maintenance.
• Weeding and irrigation tasks.
• Pack products in the packing shed.
• General farm duties as required by management.

Job Description

Riviera Farms Pty Ltd is looking for a team leader to manage our harvest and processing crews of up to 7 workers. This would be a full time position of 38hrs per week with in the Horticultural Award Level 3 (for more information on pay and conditions please refer to the Horticultural Award 2020 and the National Employment Standard) We are looking for potentially 4 team leaders commencing in January 2027 for 4 years ending in January 2031 in locations in Bundaberg QLD

Responsibilities

• Crew Supervision in the field
• Drive workers from one location to another
• Liaising with Managers and Welfare Coordinators
• Picking various horticulture products
• Crop planting and maintenance
• Weeding and irrigation
• Packing products in the packing shed
• General farm duties as required by farm management
• Ensure workers are complying with the OHS and quality Management Systems requirements

Selection Criteria

• Hold a current Drivers License
• Be willing to obtain a High Risk Fork Lift License
• Can follow instruction, give instruction and apply new processes quickly
• Ability to manage staff in a team environment with a wide variety of cultural and ethnical backgrounds
• Demonstrate good communication skills and complete time sheet calculation
