Xacom in Melbourne seeks an on-site IT/Networking Technician to oversee nurse call, security and communication systems in hospitals and aged care facilities. Working with the team you will provide preventive and corrective maintenance, contribute to solution design, build and commission, and foster strong customer relationships across site visits in Melbourne.

The role based from our Clayton office, but most of your time will be spent at customer sites around Melbourne.

The Position

The purpose of this role is to provide on-site technical care for nurse call, security and communication solutions at hospitals and aged care facilities. Working with the team you will:

• Provide preventive & corrective maintenance
• Contribute to solution design, build & commission
• Build customer relationships
• Contribute to after hours support according to a monthly roster (additionally remunerated)

Requirements

Apply for this position if you have:

• Strong IT skills and understanding of network and communication technologies
• At least 3 years of experience in IT or network/communication technologies.
• While primarily a service and commissioning role, ability and experience running cable is required (cablers license ideal).
• Experience in delivering security and access solutions with the following systems: Integriti, Gallagher, ICT Protege, Bosch, Hikvision, Hanwha Wisenet, and Genetec
• A knack for methodical troubleshooting
• Good skills for communicating with colleagues and customers at all levels
• Organisation, motivation and integrity
• Prior experience with nurse call systems or healthcare facility technologies is preferred but not essential.

Details

Remuneration is $80,000 - $100,000 + Super + Company car/allowance depending on experience.
