Sam the Paving Man in Sydney is seeking an Apprentice Hard Landscaper to join our team across premier residential and commercial properties. You’ll work with experienced landscapers, gain hands-on skills, and complete your formal training.

Learn paving construction, site preparation, operate hand tools and small machinery safely, and build a strong foundation in landscape techniques. This permanent full-time apprenticeship offers mentoring, qualification support, and real progression on premium

Responsibilities

• Assisting with paving construction and installation.
• Site preparation including excavation and leveling.
• Laying and finishing paving materials.
• Safely operating hand tools and small machinery.
• Equipment cleaning and fault reporting.
• Following WHS policies and wearing PPE.
• Environmental practices including waste disposal.
• Attending off-site apprenticeship training and completing course requirements.
• Producing neat, professional work.

Apprentice Landscaper – Sam the Paving Man

Are you looking to kickstart a hands‑on career in hard landscaping? Sam the Paving Man is offering a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice Hard Landscaper to join our team, working across some of Sydney’s premier residential and commercial properties.

As an apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced landscapers, gaining practical skills while completing your formal training. You’ll learn how to construct and maintain high‑quality landscape features, operate a variety of tools and equipment safely, and build a strong foundation in landscape construction techniques.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with the construction and installation of paving, retaining walls, edging, and other hard landscape features
• Supporting site preparation including excavation, levelling, compaction, and base preparation
• Helping with the laying, cutting, and finishing of paving materials to a high standard
• Learning to safely operate hand tools and small machinery used in hard landscape construction
• Carrying out routine equipment cleaning, care, and fault reporting
• Following WHS policies, wearing required PPE, and participating in daily safety briefings
• Supporting environmentally responsible work practices, including correct disposal of waste materials
• Attending off‑site apprenticeship training and completing all course requirements
• Taking pride in producing neat, professional, and high‑quality work
