Job summary

Prime Maintenance is seeking a Handy Person/Carpenter to join a growing commercial property maintenance team in Brisbane. This permanent role offers competitive hourly rates and a fully maintained company vehicle, with ongoing opportunities for career growth.

You will perform general carpentry, undertake decking/ pergola work, handle minor plastering and painting tasks, and assist other trades as needed. Safety protocols and reporting of major repairs are essential requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven background in general maintenance & carpentry.
• Current manual driver's license.
• White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• General Carpentry: fix and adjust minor issues to larger projects.
• Project Construction: build/deploy decking, pergolas, walls, and similar structures.
• Small plastering & painting: handle minor plastering and painting tasks.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: assist other trades such as electrical/plumbing when needed.
• Adherence to Safety Protocols: follow company safety regs, inductions, and site compliance.
• Issue Identification and Reporting: identify and report major repair work.

General Carpentry: Proficiency in fixing and adjusting minor issues through to larger projects and tasks. Ideally Qualified Carpenter or have 3+ Years delivery of Commercial general maintenance experience.

Project Construction: Demonstrated capability in constructing and delivering various projects such as decking, pergolas, wall and more.

Small Plastering & Paint Projects: Skilled in handling minor plastering and painting tasks.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Ability to assist other trades, including electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance, as necessary.

Adherence to Safety Protocols: Strict adherence to company safety regulations. Ability to maintain client safety check in's, inductions and overall site compliance requirements.

Issue Identification and Reporting: Competence in identifying and reporting major repair work.
