Job summary

The Eaton workshop in Rowville is seeking a hands-on Workshop Leading Hand to support daily operations in clutch and transmission assembly. You will coordinate a small team, provide on‑the‑job coaching, and help ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.

You will perform hands-on assembly, remanufacturing, testing, and related production tasks while driving safety, efficiency and continuous improvement in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical tradesperson with safety-focused approach.
• Experience leading or mentoring workshop staff.
• Strong fault-finding and assembly skills.
• Ability to plan work and coordinate multiple jobs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workshop priorities and small team.
• Perform hands-on clutch and transmission assembly, remanufacturing, testing and related production tasks.
• Ensure safety, quality and housekeeping standards in the workshop.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for safety and efficiency.
