Fallshaw Group in Melbourne's western suburbs is seeking a highly skilled toolmaker to lead our toolroom. The role involves tool maintenance and building new tools, with a focus on press metal forming and injection moulding tooling.

You will manage a small team of three toolmakers, program CNC machines (centres and lathes), and contribute to CAD/CAM design training. The company offers training and career advancement in SolidWorks, MasterCAM and CMM programming.

Qualifications

• Five years of toolmaking experience required.
• Expertise with CNC machines including machining centres and lathes.
• Experience with progressive press tools preferred but not essential.
• Experience with injection moulding tools and special-purpose assembly machines preferred but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead a team of three toolmakers in the toolroom.
• Maintain existing tools and build new tools.
• Mentor trainees and support CAD/CAM training.

We're seeking a highly skilled toolmaker with expertise in press metal forming and/or injection moulding toolmaking to lead our toolroom.

Flexible hours - Monday to Friday any time you like between 6am and 5pm.

Working within and leading a team of three toolmakers, this role involves both tool maintenance and building new tools.

The successful applicant will be a positive, energetic person who has:

Expertise as a toolmaker including programming CNC machines (especially machining centres and CNC lathes) essentail

Minimum five years of toolmaking experience required

Experience with progressive press tools preferable but not essential

Experience with sliding core, multi-cavity and hot tip injection moulding tools preferable but not essential

Experience with building or maintaining special-purpose assembly machines (index tables with robotic stations) preferable but not essential
