Job summary

Hilton Manufacturing in Dandenong South, VIC, is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our hands-on engineering team. You will build, maintain, and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling that keep production running at peak performance.

You'll interpret engineering drawings, perform precision machining, and troubleshoot tooling issues to drive quality and efficiency across our high-volume manufacturing operations. Full Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker in manufacturing/tooling.
• Strong ability to design and manufacture jigs and fixtures.
• Skilled in milling, turning, grinding and precise fitting.
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.

About the Role

In this hands-on role, you'll build, maintain, and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling that keep our production running at its best. You'll tackle tooling challenges, develop practical solutions, and play a key role in driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, repair, and maintain press tools, jigs, fixtures, and tooling components
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately
• Perform precision machining, including milling, turning, grinding, and fitting
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement effective solutions

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker within a manufacturing or tooling environment
• Strong experience designing and manufacturing jigs and fixtures
• Strong machining skills across milling, turning, grinding, and fitting
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
• Full Australian working rights
• Automotive, sheet metal, or high-volume manufacturing experience
