Job summary

Aston Advantage is seeking a Toolmaker (Repair) in Wetherill Park, NSW. This in‑house role focuses on stripping moulds, diagnosing faults, and repairing components using manual machining, CNC machining, and precision tooling.

You will work with metal (mostly copper & bronze), read drawings, and maintain tooling while supporting engineering with improvements and QA documentation. Experience with lathes, mills, grinders is preferred, and there is openness to learn welding or die-setting when

Qualifications

• Background in toolmaking or machining.
• Able to read drawings.
• Confident on lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC.
• Open to learning welding or die-setting when required.

Responsibilities

• In‑house tool repair role stripping moulds, diagnosing faults, and repairing components using manual machining, CNC machining and precision tooling.
• Inspect/diagnose faults and repair components to tight tolerances.
• Maintain tooling and QA documentation up to date.
• Support engineering with improvements.

Opportunity: In‑house tool repair role stripping moulds, diagnosing faults, and repairing components using manual machining, CNC machining, and precision tooling.

Experience: Background in toolmaking or machining, able to read drawings, confident on lathes/mills/grinders/CNC, and open to learning welding or die‑setting when required.

Extras: Work with metal (95%), copper & bronze, inspect/diagnose faults, build/modify parts to tight tolerances, maintain tooling, support engineering with improvements, and keep QA documentation up to date.
