Job summary

Pathways Residences in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to join our luxury aged-care kitchen. This 37.5‑hour, five‑day role runs Wednesday to Sunday, with a focus on leading the catering team and delivering restaurant‑quality dining for residents.

You’ll cook daily, uphold high standards of compliance for food, hygiene and safety, oversee food preparation and cleaning, and collaborate with Head Chefs and the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen management experience.
• Experience in aged care is highly valued.
• Experience leading a team of 10+ staff.
• Current food safety supervisor certificate required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Cook daily in a hands-on kitchen.
• Direct kitchen operations and manage catering staff.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking and cleaning.
• Ensure all food is fresh and of high quality.
• Collaborate with Head Chefs, Executive Chef and other department heads.
