Job summary

Aerometrex Limited is seeking a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead the multidisciplinary team responsible for MetroMap. You will own platform stability, security and growth, guiding development across the stack while collaborating with AI tooling and the Solution Architect.

This is a full-time role based in Adelaide, with on-site work and flexible work-from-home arrangements. You will lead engineers, DevOps and architects, driving end-to-end delivery, architectural improvements, and

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development.
• 3+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong Python skills and API frameworks.
• Strong AWS experience across cloud architecture, cost optimisation and IAM.
• Working knowledge of secure development, access control and vulnerability management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Engineering or Computer Science degree (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across full stack with hands-on contribution.
• Partner with Architecture and Product to guide platform evolution and roadmap.
• Own software lifecycle from design to production operations.
• Collaborate with AI tools and integrate AI solutions into MetroMap.
• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
