Metro Shades in Kilsyth, Melbourne is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to coordinate day-to-day activities, linking customer service, office admin and manufacturing. You will drive orders through manufacturing, delivery and installation with clear communication and accountability.

You will lead the operations team with urgency, ownership and a focus on on-time delivery, problem-solving and protecting gross margins as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, manufacturing, distribution or a fast-moving environment.
• Takes ownership and follows through without reminders.
• Strong sense of urgency and awareness of deadlines.
• Leads people, sets expectations and holds others accountable respectfully.
• Organised, commercially aware and able to manage competing priorities.
• Clear communication with customers, office staff, production teams and management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day flow of work from order entry through manufacturing, delivery and installation.
• Monitor outstanding orders, production priorities, lead times and customer commitments.
• Identify bottlenecks, resolve issues and coordinate cross-team solutions.
• Ensure information is accurate, complete and accessible to the right people.
• Provide clear direction, priorities and support to the office and operations team.
• Oversee customer service standards and resolve escalated issues.
• Work with trade partners, suppliers and internal teams to resolve challenges.
• Help reduce rework and protect margins.
