Job summary

BallyCara Scarborough village is seeking a Facilities Officer - Maintenance to keep buildings, equipment and spaces safe, functional and well-presented. You’ll work across maintenance requests, planned and reactive works, identifying improvements and helping create welcoming environments for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates bring a relevant trade qualification, practical problem-solving skills, and a proactive, safety‑minded approach with the ability to manage priorities and collaborate

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and problem solving orientation.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general maintenance across the village.
• Carrying out carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing and painting tasks.
• Maintaining buildings, facilities and shared spaces to a high standard.
• Responding to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
• Completing work orders and planned maintenance tasks.
• Identifying maintenance issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Safely operating tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Supporting event set-up and pack-down across the village.
• Working collaboratively with the broader BallyCara team.
• Following all WHS requirements and safe work practices.

Education

Trade qualification (Carpentry, Plumbing or Electrical)
