Job summary

Ozone Hospitality Services is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping operations at Novotel Sydney International Airport. This hands-on role requires rolling up sleeves to work with the team, assist with room cleaning and inspections, and keep operations running smoothly.

You will lead the team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• Experience leading housekeeping teams in a hotel setting.
• Ability to supervise, train and develop staff.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, procedures and equipment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support the housekeeping team, including scheduling, training and performance management.
• Oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards.
• Take a hands-on approach, stepping in to assist with housekeeping duties when required.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene and attention to detail.
• Respond to and resolve housekeeping-related guest issues professionally and promptly.
• Manage stock levels of linen, cleaning products and equipment.
• Monitor supply usage, departmental costs and equipment maintenance.
• Train, coach and develop housekeeping team members.
• Ensure housekeeping practices comply with health, safety and company requirements.
• Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records, room status updates and maintenance requests.
• Monitor team performance, cleanliness standards and guest feedback.
• Support management with departmental reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
