Job summary

Mansell Taylor Consulting is seeking an Engineering Lead to head a five-person software team while remaining roughly 80% hands-on. You will work directly with the CEO to guide the ongoing development of an established customer-facing platform and new products.

You will design, build and deliver software, coach developers and drive engineering excellence across APIs, integrations and scalable systems. Based in Melbourne CBD with a hybrid work pattern, you’ll stay close to code and strategy.

Qualifications

• Must have led a software development team with hands-on coding involvement.
• Strong commercial C# and .NET/.NET Core development experience.
• Experience designing and building complex customer-facing software.
• Proven API design and integration capabilities.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience maintaining and modernising established software products.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of five software developers.
• Design and develop customer-facing software using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Translate business requirements into well-designed technical solutions.
• Build new functionality and modernise an established .NET platform.
• Design APIs, integrations and scalable applications.
• Work across SQL Server, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct code reviews and drive strong engineering practices.
• Balance new development with platform stability, technical debt and risk.
• Introduce and use AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency.
