Job summary

Monash Council is seeking a Bushland & Wetlands Officer to join the Bushland & Wetlands Team in the eastern region. The role focuses on managing bushland, wetlands and waterways with high biodiversity value, contributing to community connections with nature and to reserve management programs.

The position is permanent full-time, based in Notting Hill, with salary around $78,076 plus Superannuation, RDO, overtime and industry training. Applications close 8 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Natural Resource Management or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Current Victorian Drivers License is required.
• ACUP or Farm Chemicals Users Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Revegetation and indigenous garden bed maintenance.
• Riparian and wetland maintenance.
• Remnant maintenance.
• Indigenous planting and seedbank programs.
• Fuel reduction in accordance with relevant fire preparedness programs.
• Monitoring, protecting, and enhancing flora and fauna values.

Education

Diploma in Natural Resource Management
