Job summary

Knox City Council is seeking a dedicated Bushland Management Officer to join the Biodiversity Team. This full-time role is based at the Knox City Council Civic Centre, with field work across the municipality.

You will protect and enhance sites of biological significance and engage the community in biodiversity initiatives. The position is Band 5 under the Enterprise Agreement, offering remuneration of $83,593.07 gross per annum plus allowances and superannuation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local indigenous plant communities and natural resource management practices.
• Experience in community engagement and mentoring environmental volunteers.
• Ability to apply bushland management techniques and understand biodiversity values.

Responsibilities

• Protect, enhance and celebrate sites of biological significance across the Knox municipality.
• Participate in biodiversity community events and activities and provide biodiversity expertise.
