Job summary

YMCA Caloundra is seeking an experienced Gymnastics Coach to join the team on a casual basis in Caloundra. The role involves preparing equipment, ensuring safety and matting, and communicating with families about notices and newsletters.

Ideal applicants will hold Queensland Gymnastics Association accreditation, advanced qualifications, and be available for weekend competitions during the season, with first aid, police checks, and blue card readiness.

Qualifications

• Accreditation with Queensland Gymnastics Association.
• Required to have Advanced Qualifications.
• Ability to attend Competitions on weekends during Comp Season.
• Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in all aspects of gymnastics.
• Demonstrated results orientation, sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Current Senior First Aid and CPR Certificates, or willingness to obtain.
• National Police Check completed in the last 6 months, willingness to obtain.
• Positive Notice Blue Card, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Timely set-up of gymnastics equipment and commencement of the class.
• Check that all activities have adequate matting which is correctly/safely set out.
• Ensure all rolls are marked and accounts, notices and newsletters are given out accordingly.
• Ensure that if an accident happens all safety procedures are adhered to, and an accident report form filled out.
