Job summary

Swissport Australia is seeking a hands-on Workshop Manager to lead the GSE workshop, drive safety, reliability and availability of the ground support equipment fleet. You will oversee PMI delivery, spare parts control and contractor performance in a fast-paced aviation environment.

The role requires strong leadership, a mechanical trade qualification and proven CMMS experience, with Maximo knowledge highly regarded. This is a permanent Australian role based in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in workshop management or maintenance supervision.
• Strong mechanical experience within GSE or related equipment.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams.
• CMMS knowledge, preferably Maximo, for maintenance work orders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the GSE workshop team and allocate resources effectively.
• Plan and prioritise preventive maintenance, servicing and repairs to maximise fleet availability.
• Oversee PMIs and ensure on-time completion within regulations.
• Record and update maintenance work orders in CMMS (Maximo).
• Monitor fleet availability and workshop performance; address risks and faults.
• Manage contractor performance and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure WHS compliance and drive continuous improvement.
