Growth Marketing Manager

Job Description

Build a growth engine around ideas worth paying attention to

Our client is looking for a hands‑on Growth Marketing Manager to build a new authority‑led growth engine from the ground up.

This is not a role where you will inherit a mature funnel, a large marketing team and years of campaign data. You will help define the approach, test what works and build the systems that turn strong ideas into qualified commercial opportunities.

Our client works with senior leaders and executive teams across complex organisations around the world. Through that work, the business has developed original data, deep expertise and a clear point of view on what helps leadership teams perform well.

That insight is now being turned into serious, data‑backed books and thought leadership.

The substance already exists.

Your job is to make sure it reaches the right people, earns their attention and gives them a compelling reason to continue the conversation.

About the business

Our client is a growing Melbourne‑founded technology company operating in the leadership and performance space.

Its platform helps senior decision‑makers understand where their organisation or leadership team needs to be, where it is today and how to close the gap in a practical and repeatable way.

The business works with major listed companies, government, private sector and not‑for‑profit organisations across Australia and international markets.

Since launching in 2019, it has built strong market credibility, an increasingly global client base and a sophisticated product that supports leaders making decisions at the highest levels of organisations.

The company is now entering an important stage of growth, with ambitious international plans and a strong focus on building a more scalable commercial engine.

The opportunity

This business operates in a market where trust matters more than marketing noise.

Its audience is experienced, time‑poor and heavily marketed to. Generic content, inflated claims and predictable nurture sequences are unlikely to cut through.

Their attention needs to be earned.

The growth strategy begins with authority. The business is developing data‑backed books and thought leadership based on proprietary analysis and deep subject‑matter expertise. These assets are designed to reach senior leaders with ideas that are useful, credible and worth their time.

You will build the growth engine around them.

You will own the journey from the first campaign impression through to a qualified commercial opportunity. That includes audience strategy, paid acquisition, landing pages, conversion, nurture, marketing automation and reporting.

You will work closely with commercial and account teams to understand which contacts are genuinely engaged, when a relationship is ready to progress and how marketing can contribute to meaningful pipeline.

This is a broad role, but it is not a catch‑all marketing position. Your focus is building a disciplined and measurable growth engine that connects strong thinking with the people most likely to value it.

What you will be doing

You will:

  • Take the business’s first major authority‑led campaign to market
  • Develop campaign positioning, messaging and audience strategy
  • Write advertisements, landing pages, emails and nurture content for a senior audience
  • Plan and manage paid search and digital placement activity
  • Build landing pages and improve website conversion
  • Create lead capture and nurture journeys
  • Segment audiences by market, seniority, behaviour and commercial relevance
  • Build pathways for engaged contacts into the organisation’s broader executive community
  • Work with commercial teams to identify qualified opportunities
  • Improve marketing automation and CRM workflows
  • Test new acquisition channels, audiences and campaign approaches
  • Track cost per lead, lead quality, conversion and influenced pipeline
  • Build reporting that clearly shows what is working and what needs to change
  • Use AI to develop and improve marketing assets while maintaining a high standard of quality
  • Identify when agency, creative or technical support is needed
  • Build a repeatable model that can support future campaigns, audiences and international markets

What your first six months will look like

Your first six months will centre on launching the first major authority campaign and establishing the foundations of the growth function.

You will:

  • Develop the go‑to‑market strategy for the first major thought‑leadership asset
  • Define the priority audience, positioning and campaign message
  • Create the landing pages, lead capture and nurture journey
  • Launch paid acquisition across priority channels
  • Establish tracking, attribution and reporting
  • Build pathways for ongoing executive engagement
  • Create clear marketing and commercial handover points
  • Begin generating and qualifying senior contacts
  • Identify which audiences, messages and channels are producing meaningful engagement
  • Develop a clear roadmap for the next stage of growth

You will not be expected to arrive with every answer.

You will be expected to ask good questions, test your thinking and take responsibility for what happens next.

What we are looking for

This role will suit a growth marketer who can think strategically and still enjoys doing the work.

You may currently work in B2B technology, SaaS, professional services, consulting, financial services or an agency environment. Your title matters less than the campaigns, systems and commercial outcomes you have helped create.

You will ideally bring:

  • Hands‑on experience in growth marketing, demand generation or performance marketing
  • A track record of delivering B2B campaigns from strategy through to execution
  • Strong paid search and digital advertising capability
  • Experience building landing pages and improving conversion
  • Confidence developing nurture journeys and marketing automation
  • Strong marketing copywriting skills
  • Experience with campaign analytics, attribution and reporting
  • The ability to connect marketing activity with qualified pipeline
  • A clear understanding of the difference between lead volume and lead value
  • Confidence marketing to senior, discerning or specialised audiences
  • Practical experience using AI as a marketing production and problem‑solving tool
  • Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
  • The ability to create structure where little currently exists
  • The confidence to change direction when the evidence shows something is not working

You do not need to arrive as an expert in this industry. You do need the curiosity to understand what matters to senior decision‑makers and the judgement to communicate with them credibly.

How success will be measured

Success will not be measured by how crowded the marketing calendar looks.

It will be measured by the quality of the audience you reach and the commercial opportunities that follow.

Measures will include:

  • Quality leads generated across priority audiences
  • Growth in the organisation’s executive community
  • Lead‑to‑opportunity conversion
  • Cost per lead and cost per qualified opportunity
  • Performance of paid acquisition channels
  • Landing page and website conversion
  • Engagement with nurture journeys
  • Marketing‑influenced pipeline
  • Clarity and reliability of campaign reporting
  • Evidence that results are improving through testing and optimisation

Why join?

You will be joining a growing technology business with ambitious international plans, original material to take to market and a product designed to improve decision‑making and leadership at the top of organisations.

You will have genuine ownership of the work and the opportunity to shape how growth marketing operates as the company scales.

It is a rare combination for a marketer. You will have strong ideas to work with, a sophisticated audience to reach and the freedom to build the system that connects the two.

The business moves quickly, cares deeply about quality and gives people the space to test, learn and improve. This role will suit someone who enjoys building capability rather than simply maintaining what already exists.

Location and package

This is a Melbourne‑based role with regular in‑person collaboration.

The team works flexibly, although being together in person will be important as you build the function and work closely with internal experts. The role will also require some flexibility across international time zones and may include occasional international travel for key meetings and events.

The package includes:

  • $120,000 to $140,000 plus superannuation
  • A generous employee share option grant
  • The opportunity to build a new growth capability during an important stage of the company’s expansion

Candidates must have full working rights in Australia.

This is your chance to build something that lasts

You will take original thinking, bring it to the right audience and create a growth engine that can become a meaningful part of the business’s next stage of growth.

At AllianceCorp, we’re a leading property investment company in Australia, helping everyday Australians build long‑term wealth through property. We bring strategy, finance, property acquisition and ongoing support together under one roof, making the property investment journey simpler for our clients.

With more than 18 years in the industry, we’re growing rapidly and continuing to invest in the people, technology and marketing capability that drive our success. Operating across multiple entities, our business offers opportunities to work across different functions, campaigns and growth priorities, with marketing playing a significant role in our continued expansion.

Ranked #13 among Australia’s Best Places to Work, we’re building a business where ambitious people can do their best work and keep raising the bar.

About the Role

Big investment. High‑volume lead generation. Real commercial impact.

Marketing at AllianceCorp is a significant part of how we grow. We have a substantial multi‑million‑dollar marketing budget, an established team of nine people and campaigns operating across multiple channels, brands and areas of the business.

We’re not working with a shoestring budget or asking one person to do everything. We invest in marketing because we understand its value, and we’re looking for someone who knows how to turn that investment into measurable results.

Reporting to our Head of Brand, you’ll lead the performance and optimisation of our marketing activity, connecting data, campaigns and customer journeys to drive stronger conversion and commercial outcomes.

This is a broad, hands‑on management role. You’ll work across paid advertising, social, landing pages, funnels, webinars, events and internal campaigns, identifying opportunities to improve performance at every stage. You’ll also work across our multi‑entity business, helping coordinate marketing activity around different business priorities and growth opportunities.

You’ll partner closely with our wider Brand team, Sales and Technology to turn strategy into execution, test new approaches and make smarter decisions backed by data.

You’ll need to be comfortable getting into the details, challenging what’s not working and spotting opportunities others might miss.

Just as importantly, you’ll bring the leadership capability to develop your team, improve how we operate and help build our marketing function as the business continues to scale.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own the performance. Find the opportunities. Lead what’s next.

  • Conversion rate optimisation: Analyse landing pages, forms and customer journeys to identify friction, understand drop‑off and improve the rate at which visitors become leads and clients.
  • Performance marketing: Drive improvements across paid search, paid social and digital advertising, using campaign data, audience insights and lead quality to guide optimisation.
  • Campaign strategy and execution: Work across a broad mix of marketing campaigns, from digital acquisition and lead‑generation initiatives to webinars, events and internal campaigns, ensuring activity aligns with business priorities and is measured against clear outcomes.
  • Multi‑entity marketing: Coordinate and optimise marketing activity across multiple entities, understanding the different audiences, priorities and opportunities while maintaining a consistent focus on performance and commercial outcomes.
  • Testing and experimentation: Build a structured approach to A/B testing across creative, messaging, offers, landing pages and calls to action. Learn from the results and turn insights into ongoing improvements.
  • Lead generation and funnel performance: Identify opportunities to improve lead capture, nurture, routing and progression through the sales funnel. Partner with Sales, CRM and Technology to strengthen the end‑to‑end customer journey.
  • Data, analytics and reporting: Use analytics and performance reporting to identify trends, understand what’s driving results and translate findings into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Marketing investment and ROI: Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and channels, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and ensure decisions are informed by performance, lead quality and business outcomes.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration: Work closely with the broader marketing team across organic, communications, social and campaign delivery, webinars, events – bringing a performance lens to activity across the business.
  • Team leadership and development: Lead and develop your team, set clear priorities, build capability and create an environment where people can do their best work. As our marketing function grows, you’ll help shape the team and how it operates.
  • Continuous improvement: Stay across emerging tools, technologies and optimisation techniques, looking for smarter ways to improve our marketing performance and scale what works.

What You’ll Bring

You’re commercially sharp, data‑driven and naturally curious. You know that launching a campaign is only the beginning. The real value comes from understanding how it performs, identifying what’s holding it back and making it better.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in performance marketing, conversion rate optimisation, growth marketing, digital acquisition or a closely related field.
  • Strong experience analysing digital performance and turning data into practical, commercially focused decisions.
  • A solid understanding of paid search, paid social, campaign optimisation, landing pages and lead‑generation funnels.
  • Experience designing and evaluating A/B tests, using insights to improve conversion and campaign effectiveness.
  • Confidence working with analytics and optimisation tools such as GA4, Google Tag Manager, heatmaps and session‑recording platforms.
  • An understanding of CRM systems, marketing automation, lead management and the relationship between marketing activity and sales outcomes.
  • Experience managing or mentoring people, or the capability and ambition to take the next step into a formal leadership role.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across teams, balance priorities and bring people along with your thinking.
  • A commercial mindset, a high standard of execution and the confidence to challenge assumptions when the data tells a different story.

Experience in B2C, e‑commerce, financial services, property or another considered‑purchase environment would be highly regarded. Experience in high‑volume lead generation or a multi‑brand or multi‑entity business would be particularly valuable.

Why AllianceCorp?

We believe great marketing deserves the investment to match.

In many businesses, marketing teams are expected to deliver more with less: limited budgets, lean teams and responsibility for everything from strategy to execution. That’s not how we approach marketing at AllianceCorp.

We recognise the role marketing plays in driving business growth, and we back our team with the resources, people and opportunities to make a meaningful impact.

  • A substantial marketing budget: Work with a significant multi‑million‑dollar investment and the opportunity to influence how it’s deployed, optimised and measured.
  • An established team: Join a nine‑person marketing function with expertise across different areas of marketing, giving you the support and collaboration to deliver work at scale.
  • Volume and quality: Work across significant lead‑generation activity while continuing lead quality, conversion and commercial performance.
  • Breadth of opportunity: Get exposure to campaigns across digital advertising, social, webinars, events and more, with opportunities to influence performance across the wider business.
  • Multi‑entity exposure: Work across a growing business with multiple entities, giving you a broader remit and the opportunity to contribute to different business priorities.
  • A genuine leadership opportunity: Lead and develop people, shape how the team works and help grow our marketing capability as AllianceCorp continues to expand.
  • A business that moves: Join an ambitious, fast‑growing organisation where marketing has a meaningful role in business performance and future growth.

And because the right environment matters just as much as the work, we also invest in our people through:

  • A market‑leading parental leave policy designed to support our people and their families.
  • Training and development to keep building your skills and career.
  • An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support wellbeing.
  • Quarterly engagement surveys so our people have a voice in shaping the workplace.
  • Monthly team events and initiatives that bring our people together.
  • Hybrid working that supports flexibility alongside collaboration.

We’re proud to be ranked #13 among Australia’s Best Places to Work, and we’re committed to building a workplace where people can grow their careers, contribute meaningfully and do their best work.

Our unified platform lets users link their bank accounts and any major credit card, improving cash flow while unlocking powerful rewards on every transaction.

Recognised as a rapidly scaling Australian success story—with coverage in outlets like the Australian Financial Review noting our growth with a $600+ million valuation—we’re reshaping how businesses think about payments, loyalty and financial efficiency.

Growth Marketer.

Our marketing team is obsessed with one thing: the customer. What new customers think of us, what they love, and what makes them hesitate.

As a Growth Marketer you’ll sit right in the middle of driving it: reading what actually drives customer behaviour, designing and building the programs and tests that shift it, and refining the mechanics that keep running once they’re proven. You’ll take first crack at testing affiliate, referral and word‑of‑mouth as a brand‑new channel, and partner closely with the specialists who run paid and web to shape what they build.

Responsibilities

  • Read customer behaviour and turn it into testable hypotheses–what makes someone refer a mate, take the next step, or come back.
  • Design incentive and reward mechanics including referral structures and activation nudges across owned and partner channels.
  • Take point on building out and testing affiliates, referral and word‑of‑mouth as a new channel: design it, launch it, read the result, and hand off a running mechanic if it proves out.
  • Build and automate the operational side of whatever you’re testing in our marketing and automation tools, so it runs without babysitting.
  • Own the test loop: tracking, attribution reads, and feeding what you learn back into the growth strategy and forecast.
  • Stay accountable for the overall program’s and each test’s goals & metrics for success, including CPA, CAC, conversion.
  • Brief, partner and get your hands dirty with our campaigns, paid media, web and CRO specialists, so your briefs are sharp, strategic and actionable.

About You

  • 2‑4 years in growth or acquisition marketing, or an equally hands‑on role, with real experience running paid and/or web/CRO work yourself.
  • Self‑service B2B background highly regarded; SaaS, fintech, payments or accounting experience preferred.
  • You understand what motivates action, and can point to incentive or reward mechanics you’ve actually designed.
  • Comfortable building and automating processes yourself in a marketing‑automation or CRM tool.
  • Fluent in attribution and A/B testing; second nature pulling and presenting performance data (Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4 or similar) to show what’s working.
  • A structured thinker who breaks down ambiguous problems and stays curious about why experiments land the way they do.
  • A feel for brand and copy — you can write and tighten on‑brand test copy yourself.
  • Comfort in Figma and basic creative‑design handling a plus.

Bonus: you’ve designed or tested referral, affiliate, loyalty or incentive mechanics before. If you’ve done it, we want to hear how it went, including what broke.

We know not everyone will meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If you’re excited about the role and believe you can make an impact, we’re keen to hear from you.

A few more things…

Successful candidates joining the team will need to complete a National Police Record Check.

Candidates who require adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process are encouraged to let us know. We’re happy to support you.

We’re committed to an inclusive and diverse recruitment process where everyone feels respected and supported. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities and abilities and ensure fair, equitable consideration at every stage.
