Trade Travel in Tewantin, on the Sunshine Coast, seeks a Groups Reservations Consultant to coordinate escorted group tours for mature travellers across Australia. This hybrid, work-from-home role includes a Wednesday back-to-base team day and close collaboration with sales and operations to deliver memorable itineraries.

You’ll manage bookings, communicate with suppliers and clients, prepare documentation and invoices, and help travellers from inquiry through departure.

Qualifications

• Experience with group domestic and international tours.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Experience invoicing and receipting payments.
• Exposure to a Global Distribution System (GDS) would be highly regarded.

Trade Travel is an Australian travel company specialising in escorted group touring for mature travellers, including Probus Clubs, National Seniors Clubs, retirement villages, over-50s leisure centres, and other special interest groups.

We are looking for someone who loves travel, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. This role would suit a motivated travel professional who is eager to learn, highly organised, and looking to upskill to the next level in group travel.

About the Role

As our Groups Reservations Consultant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of memorable group tours from enquiry through to departure. You’ll work closely with our sales and operations teams to ensure every itinerary is well planned, every detail is managed, and every traveller receives a smooth and enjoyable experience.

You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team that values hard work, collaboration, and the satisfaction of creating travel memories that last a lifetime.

This is a hybrid position based in Tewantin, with the flexibility to work from home and a regular Wednesday back-to-base team day.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Coordinate group travel bookings and reservations from confirmation through to departure

• Work closely with the External Sales Team to deliver quality touring experiences

• Liaise with suppliers, clients, group leaders, and internal team members

• Prepare and issue travel documentation, invoices, and payment receipts

• Maintain accurate booking records and financial documents

• Assist with itinerary planning, changes, problem-solving, and client support

• Provide exceptional customer service over the phone and via email

• Help ensure each group tour runs smoothly and professionally from start to finish

About You

You are someone who is naturally organised, proactive, and calm under pressure. You enjoy being part of a team, but you can also manage your own workload and take ownership of your responsibilities.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in group domestic and international tours, travel consulting, or a travel agency environment

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

• A genuine passion for travel and helping clients

• Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers, and team members by phone and email

• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and desire to grow your skills

• Experience with invoicing, receipting payments, and maintaining financial records

• Exposure to a Global Distribution System, or GDS, would be highly regarded

• The ability to work effectively from home and as part of a hybrid team
