Job summary

Village Roadshow Theme Parks on the Gold Coast is seeking a Group Visual Merchandiser to bring immersive retail spaces to life behind the scenes. You’ll create in-store displays, windows, signage and themed environments for events across our parks, ensuring stores and activations look exceptional.

This role requires design and renderings using Photoshop/Illustrator, program management, and the ability to work autonomously or with a team to meet multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Training/qualifications in Interior Decoration and Design, or Visual Merchandising.
• Experience with signs and concepts/renderings using graphical software (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Ability to develop and manage programs of work.
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
• Solid communication skills within the organisation.
• Open class driver’s licence (essential).
• Ability to work across parks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Create in-store display, windows, signage and themed spaces for event initiatives.
• Cut in new product ranges with space allocation and merchandising concepts.
• Lead day-to-day in-store merchandising programs across all retail outlets.
• Monitor and report on in-store merchandising presentations.
• Assist in conceptualising, design, costing and project management of events.
• Design and/or procure new shop fittings where required.
• Custodian of internal brands to ensure proper presentation.
• Collaborate with Merchandise and Operations to align store product ranging with outlet strategies.
• Develop new night event initiatives and meet multiple deadlines.

The Opportunity

Bring the magic to life behind the scenes! As Group Visual Merchandiser, you’ll help create immersive, eye-catching retail and event spaces across Village Roadshow Theme Parks, ensuring our stores, activations and night events look their best and deliver memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Create compelling and effective in-store display, windows, signage and themed spaces for event initiatives.
• ‘Cut in’ new product ranges, paying appropriate attention to space allocation, categorisation and other relevant merchandising concepts.
• Lead day to day in-store merchandising programs across all retail outlets.
• Monitor and report on all in-store merchandising presentations.
• Assist in the conceptualising, design, costing and project management of event initiatives.
• Design and/or procure new shop fittings where required.
• Be the custodian of our internal brands, ensuring we are well presented and maintained.
• Work with Merchandise and Operational teams to ensure store product ranging and planning meets overall outlet strategies.
• In conjunction with the Revenue senior leadership team, develop new night event initiatives and ensure these are implemented, working to multiple deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

• Training/qualifications in Interior Decoration and Design, or preferably in Visual Merchandising.
• Experience with creating and presenting signs and concepts/renderings utilising graphical software i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator or other.
• Ability to develop and manage programs of work.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as a team to achieve best results.
• Solid communication skills with the ability to engage varying levels within the organization.
• An understanding/ability to use tools (powered/non powered) to build or assist in the building of event activations.
• An open class driver’s licence (essential)
• Ability to work across parks throughout the day.
