Job summary

Village Roadshow Theme Parks on the Gold Coast is seeking a Group Visual Merchandiser to shape the look and feel of our stores, activations and night events across multiple parks.

You will design eye-catching displays, lead merchandising programs, manage space planning, and collaborate with Merchandise and Operational teams to align product ranges with outlet strategies.

Qualifications

• Training or qualifications in Interior Decoration/Design or Visual Merchandising.
• Experience creating and presenting signs and concepts/renderings using Photoshop/Illustrator.
• Ability to develop and manage programs of work.
• Able to work autonomously and in a team.
• Strong communication across organization.
• Holder of open class driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel across parks.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling in-store displays, windows, signage and themed spaces for event initiatives.
• Cut in new product ranges with space allocation and categorisation.
• Lead day-to-day in-store merchandising programs across all retail outlets.
• Monitor and report on all in-store merchandising presentations.
• Assist in conceptualising, design, costing and project management of event initiatives.
• Design and/or procure new shop fittings where required.
• Be custodian of internal brands, ensuring presentation and maintenance.
• Work with Merchandise and Operational teams to align store product ranging with outlet strategies.
• Develop new night event initiatives with Revenue senior leadership to meet deadlines.

The Opportunity

Bring the magic to life behind the scenes! As Group Visual Merchandiser, you’ll help create immersive, eye-catching retail and event spaces across Village Roadshow Theme Parks, ensuring our stores, activations and night events look their best and deliver memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

This is your chance to shape the look and feel of our parks, one unforgettable display at a time! You’ll:

• Create compelling and effective in-store display, windows, signage and themed spaces for event initiatives.
• ‘Cut in’ new product ranges, paying appropriate attention to space allocation, categorisation and other relevant merchandising concepts.
• Lead day to day in-store merchandising programs across all retail outlets.
• Monitor and report on all in-store merchandising presentations.
• Assist in the conceptualising, design, costing and project management of event initiatives.
• Design and/or procure new shop fittings where required.
• Be the custodian of our internal brands, ensuring we are well presented and maintained.
• Work with Merchandise and Operational teams to ensure store product ranging and planning meets overall outlet strategies.
• In conjunction with the Revenue senior leadership team, develop new night event initiatives and ensure these are implemented, working to multiple deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

If you’ve got a flair for design, a hands‑on approach and a love for creating memorable spaces, this could be your perfect fit. You’ll bring:

• Training/qualifications in Interior Decoration and Design, or preferably in Visual Merchandising.
• Experience with creating and presenting signs and concepts/renderings utilising graphical software i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator or other.
• Ability to develop and manage programs of work.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as a team to achieve best results.
• Solid communication skills with the ability to engage varying levels within the organization.
• An understanding/ability to use tools (powered/non powered) to build or assist in the building of event activations.
• An open class driver’s licence (essential)
• Ability to work across parks throughout the day.
