Job summary

Village Roadshow Theme Parks is seeking a Cleaning Team Leader to supervise cleaning operations at Wet’n’Wild, Oxenford on the Gold Coast. The role focuses on maintaining high visual and hygiene standards and leading a venue-cleaning team.

The role requires experience with cleaning processes, strong communication, and the ability to work early shifts, including weekends and school holidays. Certification in cleaning and a valid driver’s license preferred.

Cleaning Team Leader

$29.48 per hour | Part Time

Wet’n’Wild, Oxenford, Gold Coast

The Opportunity

Help make every visit unforgettable by keeping Wet’n’Wild looking its best! This role ensures our front and back of house shine at the highest visual and operational standards, while ensuring workplace hygiene procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

No two days are the same at Wet’n’Wild! Here’s how you’ll dive into your day:

• Monitor and follow cleaning procedures ensuring that tasks are completed within the required timeframe
• Deliver excellent cleaning skills to provide a clean and healthy environment for both guests & team members
• Report any issues that may affect cleaning operations immediately to your Supervisor
• Ensure all necessary reporting and documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner
• Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent guest service and to promote a positive working environment
• Complete all relevant paperwork to maintain compliance & record keeping processes
• Conduct training & assess competency of Team Member’s to assist in team development & mentoring
• Maintain cleaning checklists regularly and update as required
• Identify extra cleaning requirements and delegate as required

What We’re Looking For:

• Good working knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment operation
• Effective communication skills, delegation & guidance with strong leadership skills
• Self organisation, problem solving & time management skills
• Guest Service experience with effective communication skills
• Experience & knowledge of hazardous substances
• Certificate I & II – Cleaning and advantage
• Experience in the use of Bio degradable Chemicals and awareness of Material Safety Data (MSD) Sheet
• Demonstrated computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and email systems
• Ability to accurately organise, maintain and manage files, records and documentation
• Rostering and workforce scheduling experience (advantageous)
• Current Open Driver’s License required
• Willing to work across Wet’n’Wild, Movie World, Paradise Country, Australian Outback Spectacular if needed.
• Ability to work weekends, school holidays, split shifts and event functions as per business requirements, with shifts starting as early as 4:00am.
