Job summary

Heart of Yorkshire Education Group is seeking a Group Head of Curriculum for English and Maths to lead and develop literacy and numeracy across the group. You will oversee curriculum development, pedagogy improvements, and performance growth while fostering an inclusive culture among staff and learners.

Reporting to the Group Executive Director for Curriculum and Quality, you will drive strategic curriculum initiatives and collaborate with colleges in Castleford, Selby and Wakefield to raise

Qualifications

• Professional qualification or degree in a relevant area (Level 4 or above).
• GCSEs in English and Maths A*-C/9-4 or equivalent qualification
• PGCE or equivalent full teaching qualification
• A recognised Level 5 management qualification on appointment, or a willingness to achieve within 2 years

Responsibilities

• Lead English and Maths provision across the Group and drive performance.
• Develop a high-quality curriculum across all levels and programme types.
• Develop English and Maths pedagogy skills and improve teaching, assessment feedback and relational practice within teams.
• Engage with stakeholders and build a culture of inclusion and belonging.
