Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an FP&A Analyst in Sydney to partner with executive leaders and manage consolidated forecasts, budgets, and reporting across a tech-focused, multi-entity environment.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical ability, advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, and proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis within the technology sector. This role is based in Sydney CBD with 3 days in the office.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ability to communicate and influence financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Exceptional business partnering skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in the technology sector preferred.
  • Familiarity with tech jargon.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to collect, validate, and reconcile financial data from ERP and planning systems.
  • Deliver consolidated forecasts, budgets, and management reporting that support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify financial trends and risks.
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to enhance planning accuracy.
  • Provide detailed performance analysis and reporting to senior management.
  • Assist in business case preparation and investment appraisals.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Partner with executive leaders to shape strategic business decisions and drive group-wide performance across a complex, multi-entity business.
