We are seeking a technically strong Financial Controller to join a purpose-led international group. You will lead group consolidation and become the trusted point of reference for accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities.
Reporting to the Finance Director and CFO, this is a hands-on role for someone who likes getting into the detail. You will resolve complex accounting questions and make sure the consolidated numbers stand up to scrutiny. You will bring sound technical judgement and practical delivery, giving leadership confidence in group reporting and helping the finance function run more effectively.
Experience with M&A and divestments will be particularly valuable. This includes an understanding of the accounting, reporting and control considerations that come with transactions and changes in group structure.
You are a CA or CPA qualified finance professional with strong financial control experience and a thorough understanding of accounting standards. You have hands-on consolidation experience in a multi-entity group, ideally with international entities. An audit or professional services background, complemented by commercial experience, would be highly regarded.
You have supported M&A activity and have exposure to divestments, and you can assess what they mean for financial reporting. This may include transaction accounting, acquisition integration, disposal accounting, or working with advisers and auditors on technical treatments.
You are comfortable moving between complex technical matters and the day-to-day work needed to deliver reliable results. You question inconsistencies, investigate underlying issues and take ownership through to resolution.
Just as importantly, you communicate clearly. You can explain an accounting position, recommend a practical approach and work constructively with senior leadership and the wider business.
You are available to start immediately.
Initially offered as a 12-month contract, this role has the potential to become permanent. It is a chance to show your value, build strong relationships with the Finance Director and CFO, and help shape the long-term development of the group finance function.
