Job summary

Talent Web Recruitment is seeking a technically strong Financial Controller to lead group consolidation for an international multi-entity group, based in Sydney. This hands-on role requires managing month-end close, financial reporting, and ensuring robust balance sheet reconciliations while providing clear commentary on movements.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification with strong financial control experience.
• Hands-on consolidation experience in a multi-entity group, ideally international.
• Experience in or with audit or professional services is beneficial.
• Experience with M&A or divestments adds value.
• Ability to explain complex accounting positions clearly to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead group consolidation across international entities with intercompany reconciliations.
• Own month-end close and group financial reporting with clear balance sheet commentary.
• Act as technical accounting go-to for the Finance Director and CFO.
• Support M&A and divestment activity and transaction accounting.
• Coordinate statutory reporting and external audit across the group.
• Strengthen financial controls and drive process improvements.
