Job summary

GBST is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead the financial control function and drive operational excellence across our global business. You will oversee reporting, compliance, payroll governance, tax and audit, while building a high-performing team.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you’ll partner with senior leaders to provide strategic insights, reinforce strong controls and spearhead automation initiatives in a technology-enabled finance function.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA certification with significant experience in senior finance roles.
• Experience in a technology or SaaS environment is highly regarded.
• Strong technical accounting expertise and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead group financial reporting, compliance, audit and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee payroll governance, treasury and month-end processes.

We’re looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead our financial control function and help drive operational excellence across our global business. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you’ll lead a small team and take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, payroll governance, tax and audit activities, treasury, and month-end processes. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the business, providing insights that support decision-making while ensuring strong financial controls and compliance standards are maintained. Other key responsibilities include:

Lead group financial reporting, compliance, audit and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Oversee financial operations including month-end processes and analysis, payroll governance, treasury and cash management.

Drive continuous improvement through automation, system enhancements and stronger financial controls

We’re looking for a qualified CA or CPA with significant experience in senior finance roles, strong technical accounting expertise, a key eye for detail, and a passion for improving processes through automation, systems and emerging technologies. Experience in a technology or SaaS environment will be highly regarded.
