Challenger Limited in Sydney's CBD seeks a Financial Accountant to join its Group Financial Control team on a hybrid arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days WFH). You will contribute to month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory reporting for corporate entities and SPVs, with exposure to ASX disclosures.

You'll collaborate with senior accountants and the Finance Manager to understand entity-level flows into Group results, while building strong financial control and business

Qualificações

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience in financial control, commercial accounting or large-scale audit.
• Experience with IFRS and core accounting principles.
• Experience preparing journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Exposure to multi-entity environments and intercompany accounting.
• Proficient with intermediate Excel (pivot tables, SUMIF/SUMIFS, XLOOKUP).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, well-supported work.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn and develop.

Responsabilidades

• Support accounting for corporate entities and SPVs, including reconciliations.
• Assist intercompany processing and investigate reconciling items.
• Ensure balances are accurate and well supported.
• Investigate variances and explain movements clearly.
• Assist month-end closings and inputs into consolidated reporting.
• Support statutory financial statements and ASX disclosures.
• Prepare audit workpapers and respond to auditor queries.
• Use Workday, Workiva and Excel to support reporting and reconciliations.
• Maintain data quality, schedules and documentation.
• Identify process improvements to enhance controls and accuracy.
