Job summary

Super Retail Group, home to Supercheap Auto, rebel, BCF and Macpac, is seeking a Group Accounting Manager to lead the Group Accounting team and drive accurate consolidated reporting, balance sheet integrity and policy compliance across the ASX-listed business from our Sydney office.

This role partners with senior leaders, delivers month-end close, supports audits, and leads continuous improvement through automation and system integrations to enhance reporting efficiency and governance.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified with a tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience leading large, geographically dispersed finance teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
• Expertise in regulatory and financial reporting for listed companies.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to provide specialist guidance.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and change initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group Accounting team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Own month-end close and create a single source of truth for exec leadership.
• Maintain strong financial controls and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and governance.
• Drive process automation and system interfaces to improve reporting efficiency.
• Partner with stakeholders to analyse actuals, budgets and forecasts.
• Lead statutory reporting, audit and tax support with internal and external teams.
• Act as accounting SME on projects and business change initiatives.
