Job summary

Green by Nature AU is seeking a Grounds Person to join Marangaroo Golf Course, helping maintain a high standard of course presentation for golfers daily.

This hands-on outdoor role involves working with a skilled team on the course, gardens and surrounding green spaces, with opportunities to learn in horticulture and golf course maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, gardening or horticulture is advantageous, but eagerness to learn is valued.
• Comfortable with a physically demanding role, including lifting and carrying.
• A current driver’s licence is required.
• A White Card, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day presentation and maintenance of the golf course and surrounding gardens.
• Undertake hedging, weeding, pruning, planting, mulching and general garden maintenance.
• Assist with maintaining areas around tees, fairways, greens, paths and other course surrounds.
• Operate hand tools including hedgers, blowers and whipper snippers safely and effectively.
• Use petrol-powered equipment including push mowers and ride-on machinery under guidance.
• Load and unload plants, materials, machinery and equipment from trucks and trailers.
• Help keep the course, gardens, work areas, tools and equipment clean, safe and well organised.
• Follow all safety procedures and work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of course presentation.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Grounds Person to join the team at Marangaroo Golf Course, helping maintain and present the course to a high standard for golfers every day.

This is a hands-on outdoor role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll work alongside experienced team members across the golf course, assisting with general grounds and garden maintenance, course presentation and the upkeep of the surrounding green spaces.

What You’ll Do

About You

You’re someone who enjoys being outdoors, getting your hands dirty and taking pride in a job well done. You have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and an interest in keeping a golf course and its surrounds looking their best.

Previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, gardening, groundskeeping or horticulture will be highly regarded, but we’re also interested in people who are keen to learn and develop their skills.

You’ll need to be comfortable with the physical nature of the role, including safely lifting and carrying materials and equipment, as well as bending, squatting, kneeling and standing for extended periods.

You’ll also need:
