Job summary

Service Stream is seeking multiple Grounds Maintenance Operators to support a new defence contract in Woomera, SA. Permanent full-time roles involve operating plant equipment, performing general labouring tasks and supporting trades on diverse outdoor sites.

You will work in physically demanding environments, ensure safety, follow site plans and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture while developing skills through our online learning and on-site training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating landscaping machinery and hand tools is required.
• Rigorous safety practices and compliance with OH&S standards.
• Respectful teamwork and ability to follow site instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clear land for construction, agriculture, or infrastructure projects.
• Operate plant and construction machinery safely and efficiently.
• Load, transport, and handle materials and equipment.
• Perform manual labour including digging, lifting, and trenching.
• Support tradespeople and crews with general site tasks.
• Conduct equipment checks and report faults or hazards.
• Identify utility lines and manage soil conditions.
• Set up and clean work areas to maintain site safety.
• Follow site plans, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
