Job summary

Byron Bay Holidays, part of Ingenia Communities, is seeking a Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to keep the park looking beautiful, safe, and welcoming for guests.

Reporting to the Park Manager, you will perform pruning, mowing, repairs, and general upkeep, with attention to presentation and guest experience. This role suits hands‑on, safety‑minded individuals who enjoy outdoor work and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance including pruning, mowing, and weeding.
• Hold a current C class driver license.
• Able to work safely and follow site procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain garden areas: pruning, weeding, fertilising, replanting, mulching, hedging, mowing and edging.
• Keep grounds clean and safe: clear debris, bins, weed/pest control, pool areas as applicable.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance: tools, lighting, fixtures, fencing, and painting.
• Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate with trades when needed.
• Log maintenance activities accurately to support site presentation and safety.

In this Role, You’ll

• Maintain all garden areas through pruning, weeding, fertilising, replanting, mulching, hedging, mowing and edging.
• Keep grounds clean and safe by clearing debris, collecting bins, spraying for weeds/pests, and maintaining pool areas (if applicable).
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance, including tools, equipment, lighting, fixtures, fencing, BBQs and basic painting.
• Respond to resident/guest maintenance requests, provide feedback on contractor work, and elevate issues to trades when needed.
• Support site presentation and security by reporting damage or incidents and accurately logging all maintenance and repair activities.
