Job summary

Ingenia Communities is seeking a Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer for our A'Vina Holidays site in Sydney. You’ll maintain garden areas, keep the grounds clean and safe, and perform general repairs and maintenance to ensure a welcoming environment for guests and residents.

Reporting to the Park Manager, you’ll work hands-on, often outdoors, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service. A current C-class driver license and practical knowledge of site systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Casual grounds and maintenance role requiring practical knowledge of chemicals, equipment, and pool or site systems.
• Holding a current C-class driver's license is required.
• Grounds and maintenance experience with safety procedures.
• Ability to work with residents and guests delivering hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain garden areas through pruning, mulching, mowing, edging.
• Keep grounds clean and safe by clearing debris and maintaining pool areas (if applicable).
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance on tools, lighting, fencing, and painting.
• Respond to maintenance requests and escalate issues to trades when needed.
• Support site presentation and security by logging all activities.

We’re on the lookout for a Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team at our A'Vina Holidays site.

Reporting to the Park Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping the park looking beautiful, safe, and welcoming — ensuring guests enjoy a clean, well‑maintained environment every day.

In this Role, You’ll

• Maintain all garden areas through pruning, weeding, fertilising, replanting, mulching, hedging, mowing and edging.
• Keep grounds clean and safe by clearing debris, collecting bins, spraying for weeds/pests, and maintaining pool areas (if applicable).
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance, including tools, equipment, lighting, fixtures, fencing, BBQs and basic painting.
• Respond to resident/guest maintenance requests, provide feedback on contractor work, and elevate issues to trades when needed.
• Support site presentation and security by reporting damage or incidents and accurately logging all maintenance and repair activities.
