Job summary

Levande is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Grounds Officer to keep the village safe, functional and well presented. The role focuses on general maintenance with additional grounds and gardening duties, especially in spring and summer.

This permanent part-time position offers 26 hours per week across four daytime days, Tuesday to Friday, with predictable hours and a straightforward schedule. A current driver’s licence is required; a bus licence is desirable but not essential.

You'll step into a hands-on Maintenance & Grounds Officer role where you can see the results of your work every day. Primarily focused on general maintenance, you’ll help keep the village safe, functional and well presented, while also supporting grounds and gardening work as needed — particularly during the spring and summer growing months.

Offering a stable permanent part-time role working 26 hours per week at $35.00 per hour, you’ll enjoy consistent daytime hours across four days:

• Tuesday: 8:00am–3:00pm (30-minute break)
• Wednesday: 8:00am–3:00pm (30-minute break)
• Thursday: 8:00am–3:00pm (30-minute break)
• Friday: 9:00am–4:00pm (30-minute break)

What You Will Be Working On

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful

You’re practical, reliable and comfortable working independently. You take pride in your work and approach tasks with a steady, organised mindset.

You’ll bring:

• Experience in general maintenance, property upkeep or a similar hands-on role
• Confidence using mowing and basic outdoor equipment
• Basic computer skills
• A current driver’s licence
• The ability to manage your workload and priorities
• A bus licence or equivalent would be desirable, but is not essential
