Job summary

Discovery Parks Gerroa is seeking a dedicated Grounds Keeper to maintain a clean, well-presented park environment. You will perform daily duties across facilities, bungalows and outdoor spaces, ensuring safety and aesthetics are upheld for guests and staff.

Role requires experience in grounds maintenance, ability to operate groundskeeping tools, and a current driver's licence. This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday roster with opportunities for growth and development within the G'day

Responsibilities

• Perform daily tasks to keep park clean, tidy and well presented.
• Maintain condition and cleanliness of park facilities including amenities, camp kitchen and play areas.
• Carry out grounds upkeep including landscaping, mowing, and litter removal.
• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on park accommodation and facilities.
• Manage and maintain park equipment and tools.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.

Discovery Parks, Gerroa is located only 30 minutes from Nowra. Accommodation is not available with this role making it an ideal opportunity for someone who lives within reasonable commuting distance to the park.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Perform daily tasks to ensure park remains clean, tidy and well presented.
• Maintain condition and cleanliness of park facilities, including amenities, camp kitchen and play areas.
• Perform general grounds upkeep, including landscaping, mowing, and litter removal.
• Carry out repairs and routine maintenance tasks on park accommodation and facilities.
• Manage and maintain park equipment and tools.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.

What we look for

• Previous experience in grounds keeping
• Skilled in building and grounds maintenance tasks
• Attention to detail to ensure the safety, and aesthetic appeal of the property
• Ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment and power tools
• Strong time management skills and flexibility to work across a Monday to Friday roster
• Trade qualified is desirable
• Pool maintenance experience would be advantageous
• A current valid driver's licence is essential.

Prior to an offer of employment being made, candidates must provide a Federal Police Clearance.

This role may involve extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery.
