Job summary

The Cathedral College Rockhampton is seeking a dedicated Facilities Officer (Groundsperson) to join the maintenance team on a full-time basis, commencing as soon as possible. The role covers grounds, maintenance and light building tasks across the campus and boarding precinct, with a 38-hour week and a salary in the mid-70k AUD range.

You will manage mowing, irrigation, garden care, and minor repairs, supported by a strong commitment to safety and Catholic Education values.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and basic building repairs.
• Current Blue Card (WWC) and suitability notice.
• MR class driver’s licence is required or eligible for acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, trimming and fertilising lawns and turf areas.
• Repairing and maintaining irrigation systems.
• Weeding, planting and fertilising gardens.
• Assist with minor building maintenance as directed and repairs to fixtures.
