Job summary

St Mary’s Catholic College Gateshead is seeking a permanent part-time Groundsperson (8 hours per week) to support the maintenance and upkeep of the school grounds. The role includes building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, and opening/closing duties, reporting to the principal and facilities team.

Experience in school grounds management and a commitment to safety is required, with qualifications such as a Certificate III or Trade Certificate being desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and grounds maintenance, including cleaning and basic repairs.
• Ability to work unsupervised and support safety practices on site.
• Familiarity with school maintenance environments is desirable.
